Fusion Leisure Centre invited me to capture their "Sportaneous" event, which opened up their wide range of sports activities to the public for free. The event aimed to showcase everything they offer, from swimming and diving to tennis, athletics, and even soft play for the kids. They wanted vibrant, engaging photos that not only highlighted the activities but also conveyed the energy and excitement of the day.

One of the key challenges was safeguarding, especially with children participating in many of the activities. I worked closely with Fusion to ensure public consent forms were handled correctly, giving us the green light to capture everyone enjoying the event safely and responsibly.

Planning was crucial to ensure I was in the right place at the right time, as the event was spread across various areas of the leisure centre. From action-packed shots of people diving into the pool to the intensity of a group exercise class, I needed to make sure all activities were covered.

Post-event, I enhanced and colour-graded the images to bring out the lively atmosphere of the day, ensuring the photos popped without losing their natural look. Fusion wanted the images to be ready quickly for promotional use, so I worked efficiently to deliver them in a timely manner.

Fusion Leisure Centre was thrilled with how the images turned out, capturing both the diversity of their activities and the joy of the participants, all while maintaining a professional and safe approach to the event.
