Livin' Art
the brief
After successful collaborations with their sister companies, Living Art approached me to capture their stunning sculptures and bring their creative vision to life online. Known for their intricate and large-scale creations, the challenge was not only to photograph their sculptures but to do so on location due to their size and weight. The project also included creating a website and filming a behind-the-scenes video of their sculptor, Graham, at work.
To tackle the photography, I designed a bespoke mobile studio that could adapt to the varied locations and sizes of the sculptures. This allowed me to capture the details and artistry of each piece in a controlled environment, ensuring consistency across the images. Post-production included colour grading and image enhancement to highlight the textures and craftsmanship, delivering a polished, professional aesthetic.
For the videography, I filmed a timelapse of Graham working in the workshop, showcasing the intricate process behind his sculptures. Additional footage captured candid moments of him shaping and perfecting his creations, offering viewers a glimpse into the artistry and dedication behind each piece. The final video was edited to tell a compelling story, combining dynamic shots and Graham’s craftsmanship in action.
I also designed a sleek, user-friendly website to serve as the perfect platform for Living Art’s work. The result was a cohesive digital presence that showcased their sculptures in all their glory, resonated with their target audience, and reinforced the innovative spirit of Living Art.
